Information Technology Software Developer – Corporate Services Full-Time, 24 Month Term Contract In this position you “Take care of Banff” by developing in-house solutions to support and streamline the receiving, processing, and handling of residential Development Permits. You blend your technical aptitude and expertise with an ability to focus on the end user experience. As an IT Software Developer, you are responsible for developing end user systems, solutions and automated processes that support the Planning and Environment Department’s processing of permits related to new construction in Banff. Working on in-house solutions, you seek ways to improve user experience, and keep the Town competitive, protected and connected. You model the Town of Banff’s employee values, contributing to exceptional service delivery and performance standards by the IT department. As the successful candidate, you have a degree or technical certificate in computer science, information systems, or related discipline. A minimum of two years of work experience has allowed you to acquire strong technical skills, excellent knowledge of IT software, applications, and technology trends. A review of your qualifications and your fit with our team will be based on your proven customer service orientation, your demonstrated expertise and good judgement, and your ability to deliver on projects. Upon your start date, you will need to provide an RCMP criminal background check, a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License, and a clear driver’s abstract.
