This is a great opportunity to work for a young and dynamic company!We are currently looking for a Regional Director, Datacenter Operations to join our team.What you can expect in this role:Reporting to the SVP of Global Mining Operations, the Regional Director is a key member of the Global Operations team responsible for management of the daily operational aspects of all datacenters and Network Operations Centers (NOC) in the Canadian region. The Regional Director will be integral in team leadership, development, and implementation of operational systems and processes that drive safety, operational excellence, and standardization across all Bitfarms data centers.More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:Responsible for the performance and leadership of the Mining Operations team which includes all datacenter Site Managers and NOC technicians in the assigned region.Promote a culture of high-performance, teamwork and safety among the team.Develop and manage departmental goals, align short, medium and long-term priorities with the team, plan staffing and shift structures, ensure effective integration of new employees, provide ongoing training, coaching, feedback and communication among the team.Responsible for the contribution, implementation and management of all datacenter operations procedures (focused on maximizing hashrate realization and ASIC uptime).Responsible for coordination and collaboration with the Infrastructure team to facilitate timely site maintenance and infrastructural improvements.Responsible for ensuring Site Managers and Lead Mining Techs are implementing all safety, operational excellence and standardization initiatives.Ensures effective 24-7-365 response protocol is in place in all NOCs in region to rapidly address hashrate drops, meet curtailment requirements, and action emergency procedures as necessary.Proactively resolves potential problems and coordinate their resolution between Mining Operations and Infrastructure departments (e.g. electrical, IT problems, maintenance, intrusion, cameras, etc.) throughout all sites in Canada.In collaboration with the Construction team, supports the execution of major renovation and construction projects.Actively participates in the preparation of the annual Mining Operations budget, and ensures all datacenter Site Managers operate within this budget during the course of the budget-year.Ensures effective information sharing of operational lessons learned and best practices between Lead Mining Technicians and Site Managers across all datacenters in Canada.Manages environmental and regulatory complaints and actively participates in all meetings and/or communications with the various stakeholders (Lawyers, city administration, city councils) with support from corporate legal and regulatory teams.Participates in various initiatives concerning the development, standardization, and optimization of our global operations and data centers.Provides recommendations on organizational structure changes, and hires new Site Managers, Mining Technicians and NOC technicians on an as needed basis.Collaborates in the evaluation of potential sites for the expansion of operations.All other related to this role tasks.Here's the profile we're looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Operations or Business Administration. Masters-level education preferred but not required.Strong leadership and management abilities, including written and verbal communications.7+ years of experience in operations, industrial processes, or manufacturing environment. 3+ years of experience managing personnel and operations in a power generation or data center environment preferred but not required.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Fluency in English and French is essential for this position, as the role involves participation in global meetings and collaboration with the team across various regions.Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence methodologies.Ability and willingness to travel regularly between sites throughout Canada (company vehicle provided where applicable).A few more relevant details:Travel required 30%.Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours.Hybrid/remote possible.Job type: full time, permanent.Our datacenters are located in the region of Eastern Townships and Montérégie.We are excited to hear from you, so please apply! #J-18808-Ljbffr
