The Opportunity: Our client is a leader in the specialty chemical space, and we are assisting them in their search for a sales representative in New Brunswick and the surrounding areas. This person will be responsible for building relationships with clients throughout the assigned territory, all supported by the technical service team.The ideal person is a self-starter and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment focused on customer service. In this position, you will build and maintain customer relationships at various levels within client organizations from maintenance personnel to upper management. You'll be highly autonomous and will enjoy rolling up your sleeves to make things happen. French and English speaking is ideal. This is a great opportunity for a hungry sales professional to apply their technical education and progress within the organization. What you'll be doing: Driving new business growth through prospecting in the New Brunswick region.Managing key accounts of mid-sized and large customers.Conducting a problem-solving, value-added sales process with a focus on winning and retaining customers and repeat consumable business.Managing existing client base through action such as ensuring correct product application, on time delivery, problem solving, and timely payment on accounts, etc.Partaking in training and mentoring to support success.Working with field and Research and Development (R&D) technical team to support selling opportunities and account management.Travelling to current and prospective customers to develop relationships and grow sales.Developing and adhering to an efficient service schedule to match customer service profile.Regularly scheduling audits includes testing water or fluid samples using a portable lab and analyzing results at client sites.CRM and ERP updates.On-site troubleshooting resulting from non-conformances in water sample results and ability to repair/replace any defective equipment.Identifying and implementing solutions to help clients’ water or chemical system operate at the lowest possible life cycle cost and proactively maintain them there.Managing urgent and non-urgent customer requests for support relating to the operation of treatment programs at client facilities.Preparing and presenting annual business reviews to customers that detail both technical and financial elements (where required). What you'll need to be successful: 5+ years of sales experienceUnderstanding of the specialty chemical industry.Self-driven, with a track record of time management skills.Proven effectiveness in prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering effective presentations.Demonstrated ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships.Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution, and interpersonal skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experienced in sales budgeting and sales funnel management using web-based Microsoft CRMComfortable using online tools for account management (orders, tracking, pricing, invoicing, etc.)Ability to learn and understand new product lines and utilize knowledge to fulfill customer needs.Ability to travel throughout the territory, including overnight from time to time.Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Ability to perform technical/mechanical on-site testing as required.Ideal candidate will be English-French bilingual.
