Optometrist assistant

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong interest in the optical field.ResponsibilitiesAssist optometrists with patient care, including pre-testing and diagnostic testing.Maintain electronic medical records accurately and efficiently.Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by scheduling appointments, invoicing, verifying insurance, processing payments, and handling patient inquiries.Assist with frame and lens selection and sales in the optical dispensary.Support all patients in a friendly and compassionate manner.Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the office.Take proper measurements for all prescription glasses.Help customers with basic frame repairs.Assist in social media content creation.SkillsProficiency in medical terminology related to optometry.Accuracy in record keeping and tasks in general.Strong sales skills with a background in retail sales.Knowledge of front desk operations in a medical office setting.Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and provide excellent patient care.Familiarity with optical products and services.Experienced applicants with an optical background are preferred.
