Manage the end-to-end AP cycle and ensure the deadlines are met effectively.Ensure timely and accurate entry of AP invoices in both US and CAD currencies.Liaise with the Controller to ensure payments are made on a timely basis, through EFTs & cheque runs.Accounts Receivable:Handle high-volume collection calls and manage AR aging reports.Regular review and reconciliation of customer accounts.Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and resolve non-payment issues.Liaise with the order and sales team on discrepancies and resolving any account issues.Reconciliation:Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, as assigned.Month-end support:Conduct assigned bookkeeping tasks and assist in varied responsibilities to meet deadlines effectively.Support month-end processes by posting entries, accruals, reconciliations, preparing reports and assisting the Manager with adhoc duties.Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and procedures.Qualifications:Experience:Minimum of 2+ years in full-cycle AP & AR within Canada.Experience with reconciliations, accruals, posting entries highly desired.Strong understanding of accounting principles and working knowledge of bookkeeping in a small-mid size Canadian operation.Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end accounting duties will be given preference.Education:Accounting Diploma/Degree from a Canadian institution.Skills:Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.Soft Skills:Takes initiative and is dedicated to the success of the team.Passionate about understanding accounting concepts and building a strong career within the company.Collaborative and not afraid to ask questions and think outside the box.Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information.Compensation Details:Base Salary: $55-65K per annum, based on experience level.Bonus: Eligible for an annual performance-base bonus.Benefits: 100% company-paid benefits.Vacation: Standard per industry.Education Support: Case-by-case basis for relevant courses, as approved by the manager.Additional Requirements: Candidates will be required to complete an online MS Excel and Bookkeeping knowledge test before hire with Robert Half Finance & Accounting.JO: 05150-0013008399
