Lead Network EngineerLocation: Toronto, ON (100% Onsite)Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 CAD (Flexible for the right candidate)Certification: Active CCNP (minimum 2 years)About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer to join our team. You will be leading the network design and implementation for a major project currently in its design phase, ensuring that all network solutions follow project requirements and are executed efficiently.Key Responsibilities:- Design & Budgeting: Lead the design, budgeting, and proposal process for network solutions, ensuring compliance with project requirements.- Project Implementation: Drive the implementation of the third major project, currently in its design phase, and ensure seamless execution.- Technical Leadership: Provide high-level and low-level network design, as well as hands-on configuration of network technologies.- Network Support: Offer Level 3 support and operational oversight for network and security systems, leveraging expertise in Cisco and Fortinet platforms.- Automation: Automate repetitive tasks using Python to optimize network operations.- Collaboration: Work closely with the business development team to support technical proposals and network-related aspects of business initiatives.Required Experience:- Network Configuration: 5 years of experience in configuring networks, specifically within a Cisco and Fortinet environment.- Project Implementation: 5 years of experience in implementing network projects and security protocols.- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MPLS-TP, VPN, and OSPF is required.- Certifications: Active CCNP certification for at least 2 years.- Industry Experience: While transportation project experience is a plus, it is not required; we value specific network engineering experience over industry-specific experience.Why Join UsThis is an exciting opportunity to lead and make a significant impact on high-profile projects in Toronto.
