Financial Controller - Sustainable Development - Up to 110K

Our client is looking for a dynamic and motivated Financial Controller to join its team in a growing sustainability company. This position offers stimulating challenges and the opportunity to work on innovative projects that have a positive impact on the environment and society.Job Title:: Financial ControllerLocation: Montreal (Hybrid)Industry: Sustainable DevelopmentSalary : Up to 110K depending on experienceAdvantages- Competitive benefits package, including health, wellness, and pension plan- Career and personal development, with the ability to grow in a diverse range of programs and departments- Hybrid work and flexible hours option- 4 weeks' vacation and 5 personal daysResponsibilitiesReporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller must be proactive and solution-oriented, while having a solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.Main tasks:- Oversee and manage the company's financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.- Develop and implement effective financial processes to support the company's strategic objectives.- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.- Ensure compliance with current financial and tax regulations.- Collaborate closely with operational departments to optimize costs and improve financial efficiency.- Manage budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow plans.- Participate in strategic decision-making by providing in-depth financial analysis and recommendations.- Coordinate and supervise internal and external audits.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, banks and other stakeholders.- All other related tasksQualifications- University degree in Accounting or Finance- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience - Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS/GAAP.- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Excellent communication and presentation skills.- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.- Knowledge of sustainable development issues and practices.SummaryAre you interested in this position?
