Job Summary: The Department of Anesthesia, Pain Management and Perioperative Medicine (APMPM) is responsible for the financial planning and management of all accounts related to the Department to meet its clinical, research, education, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop annual budget and manage all financial accounts for the Department.
Provide strategic and operational advice to Head, COO and Managing/Medical Directors regarding financial performance.
Oversee bi-weekly physician compensation payments.
Produce regular financial and clinical data reports for decision-making.
Oversee the Department’s billing functions for patient insured medical services.
Manage team of Finance Assistants and Billing Clerks.
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree with five to seven years’ financial administration and management experience.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Extensive knowledge and use of budgets and financial systems.
Strong communications skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong data analytical skills.
Assets:
Master’s degree.
Accounting designation.
Management and/or supervisory experience.
Experience working in an academic health care environment.
