Job Description The Canada CFO is an all-round CFO role with strong commercial accountability and sits on the Canada Executive team. The role will provide leadership to the finance function across Canada in the areas of Commercial Finance, Controllership, Operational Finance and Transformation. The CFO is the strategic finance lead and advisor for the CEO and supports the achievement of the revenue and profitability in the region. The role is accountable for revenues and profitability in Canada and all the practice areas that operate in the market and will report to the America's CFO. The Canada CFO also sits on the Americas Finance Executive working collaboratively with other senior finance executives in developing and diving the agenda for Americas Finance, including transformation, systems and platforms, best practices, and building strong connections and culture. Key Accountabilities: Advise on key business decisions through sound commercial judgement, highlighting options, trade-offs, risks and opportunities Lead the initiative to grow the business through revenue enhancement and achievement of healthy margins overall and in all the client engagements. Drives the culture of excellent commercial judgement in business decision making as the leader of the finance community in the region. Lead the short and long-term budgetary planning and cost management for Canada in alignment with Dentsu International global processes Support the growth and reshaping of business portfolio in the region across services lines Sponsor the building and development of finance capabilities, tools, and skills within the Region on a continuing basis to increase efficiency and the value add of the Finance team across the business Visibly sponsor and drive continuous transformation, improvement/change programs throughout their implementation to achieve project benefit Champion the development of a diverse, high performing and commercially focused finance team in the region. Direct responsibility for performance and career development for senior finance talent in Canada.  Champion for strategic initiatives for Dentsu International in collaboration with other functions, namely HR, Tech and legal Responsible for External Audit and Audit Sign off at a Regional Level and Management of Working Capital and Working Capital Improvement Initiatives at a Regional Level Prioritize KPIs and track performance against internal targets and external best practices, making timely interventions at appropriate times Instill a sense of operational excellence and understanding of the competitive environment across the Finance teams in the region Qualifications 15+ years of experience, with 10+ years of financial management experience Graduate degree and/or internationally recognized finance/accounting qualification ( ACA/CPA, CMA or CFA) or MBA with Finance specialism Extensive experience working in a fast paced, dynamic advertising or marketing environment and managing multiple stakeholders and working in a highly matrixed organization CFO / Senior finance leadership experience for a large market or at regional or global level Business strategy, acquisitions, and post-merger integration Experience of business and finance transformation  Strong leadership and talent development experience in the finance function Experience with launching new businesses and changing overall business strategy Strong operational focus of project-based businesses Extensive experience of pricing and negotiation Experience in both IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards Additional Information The salary range for this position is $300,000-$350,000 CAD. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
