We want to hear from you You will participate in the design and execution of the Prominent Payment System (PPS) and Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA) regulatory compliance activities for Interac Corp. You’ll provide risk and regulatory compliance expertise and support to Interac business segments. As a member of the Risk Management team, you’ll work closely/under the guidance of the Head, Risk Management in the development and execution of the PPS and RPAA Regulatory Compliance Framework. You’ll be responsible for: Leading and facilitating Interac’s PPS comprehensive self-assessment against the Bank of Canada (BoC) PPS Risk Management Standards and RPAA related standards as well as the final report development, including the public disclosure versions. Leading business segments during the first year RPAA onboarding process including interpretation of the BoC’s RPAA requirements and how the regulatory requirements should apply to Interac. Acting as a subject matter expert on relevant PPS and RPAA regulatory guidelines and requirements, and industry best practices. Establishing and Maintaining Interac’s PPS and RPAA Compliance Framework to ensure alignment to Bank of Canada risk management standards for PPS and RPAA. Assessing PPS and RPAA regulatory compliance Issues by interpreting requirements (existing, new and emerging) and identifying, analyzing and addressing resultant gaps and issues. Leading cross functional efforts to complete BAU PPS and RPAA regulatory compliance activities, including the BoC Core Assurance Reviews and RPAA related reviews/audits, incident reporting, change notification process, operational reporting, required disclosures, periodic meetings, etc. Writing and communicating at an executive or Board level. Managing PPS and RPAA related reporting and update to the Management Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee. You bring: University degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance or equivalent. Fifteen (15) plus years relevant work experience, with significant experience in regulatory reporting and compliance (at least seven years’ experience managing a regulatory compliance process). Strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for risk management and controls. Knowledge of payments technology and industry best practices. Great at managing ambiguity. You can set and drive the “big picture” strategy while also having the capability to provide detailed technical and process guidance to your business partners.
