Lead Sign Installer & Boom Truck Operator John’s Neon Signs Ltd Timmins, ON Full Time Pay: $20 to $30 per hour, pending on experience Job Type: Full Time – 40 hours per week Shift and Schedule: Monday to Thursday – 630am to 5pm Location: Timmins, ON Benefits: Work life balance – four-day work weeks and three-day weekends Competitive wage Opportunities for career development and growth Health and Safety training provided Job Description: John’s Neon Signs Ltd, a full-service sign shop since 1956, is looking for a reliable and experienced Lead Sign Installer - Boom Truck Operator that can schedule and install all types of signage. The individual must be well organized, able to multitask, and ensure installations meet high standards of quality and safety. We seek someone who can keep up with the challenges of a fast-paced work environment, is familiar with operating elevated platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other related sign equipment and tools. NOTE: This is not an entry-level position. Knowledge of the sign industry is a must. Key Requirements: Valid class D driver’s licence and clean driving record Training in WHMS, POST, Working at Heights, Elevated Platform Organizational skills, multitasking, ability to work under pressure, and excellent time management Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members Ability to work independently and as part of a team Very detail-oriented, efficient, and organized Troubleshoot, identify issues, and problem-solve during installations/repairs and make necessary adjustments and recommendations Survey, install, and repair various types of illuminated and non-illuminated signs, banners, billboards, and other displays according to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Basic electrical knowledge Operate installation equipment; comfortable working off ladders, working at heights, and using power tools Ensure safe work practices are followed and adhered to Conduct shipping and receiving duties Must be able and willing to travel, including overnight stays from time to time Flexible working hours; will be required to work out of normal business hours such as night jobs and early morning shifts from time to time Must have safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and outerwear to work in all weather conditions, cellphone Complete and ensure compliance with MTO daily vehicle and hours of service logs Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy material and signage equipment (50lbs) Involves working in various weather conditions Comfortable working at heights, standing, bending for extended periods Screening Questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?
