We are recruiting for positions supporting the Pickering and Darlington Nuclear Generating Station Engineering Divisions, Component and Equipment Engineering, Reactor Safety Engineering and Equipment Reliability Engineering.This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will contribute to OPG’s public outreach, engagement and education efforts as part of the company’s commitment to growing its social license.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESResponsible for managing a team of Engineers and Technical Officers tasked with Station Performance Engineering, Components and Equipment Engineering, Reactor Safety Engineering or Equipment Reliability Engineering.Participate in long-range planning for asset management and company generation planning.Provide technical and consultative services, problem solving, technical advice and guidance, technical specifications, and related services to station/facility personnel, management and other interested parties including regulatory agencies.Carry out managerial accountabilities for the work of a staff complement composed of professional and technical personnel.Act as a coach and facilitator to create and sustain a non-threatening, supportive team environment.Establish clear and effective working relationships with subordinates.Seek to improve work processes and develop strategies and work processes for the plant.Continually assess and maintain Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and Nuclear-specific governing documents, including policies, standards and procedures, in compliance with regulatory requirements.Other Duties as Required.EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree in Engineering is Required.P. Eng License is considered an asset.QUALIFICATIONSStrong leadership skills with a minimum of 6 years of management experience required.Previous experience in a Nuclear environment is an asset.Ability to communicate strategically, effectively and clearly with excellent oral and writing skills.Demonstrated solid judgement with a strong business acumen.Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment while effectively managing and adapting to ever-changing priorities.Proven ability to meet deadlines with grace under pressure.The successful candidate will exhibit uncompromising integrity and commitment to upholding corporate values, and the OPG Code of Business Conduct.APPLICATION PROCESSPlease submit your application online at jobs.opg/ by 11:59 PM E.S.T., November 11, 2024.
