Position # : 9000918 Expected Start Date: October 21, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: Swift Current Community Services City/Town: Swift Current Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physician Assistant Degree $51.102 to $62.5 Job Description:  Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset Education Successful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program Licenses Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies Advanced - Interpersonal skills Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example Advanced - Communication skills Advanced - Analytical skills Intermediate - Computer skills Advanced - Technical skills Knowledge and Abilities Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Provide culturally competent, client & family centered & strength based care Articulates theory and knowledge related to patient and family centered care committed to quality, safety and striving towards zero harm Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language Other Information Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset
