Position Overview:The Director, Growth is responsible for supporting development and implementation of strategies to drive business growth across different pods at GroupM. They are an internal and external face of Growth at GroupM with a clear purpose to drive growth from existing and new business opportunities. They provide vision and leadership, develop and lead teams, and ensure the highest quality product.This new business leader services the growth community across the group building a complete client experience from first connect to retention and growth. They will be active in developing prospective client inquiries, and delivering consistently strong, and compelling pitches. They will also be a key partner to client leadership and specialty business teams in executing client growth strategies.This is a newly created role that reports to the VP, Growth and collaborates as needed with other Directors, Growth to ensure alignment within GroupM Canada and North America growth strategy and strategic priorities.Your Impact:Deliver a high-quality pitch experienceCreate business development plans, focused on revenue growth via existing and new initiativesProvide competitor and market analysis for identified new business targetsManage resources engaged in project deliveryDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, workbacks and estimated budget scopeManage project deliverables and performance in line with approved project plans and global growth processesCreate internal pride and stewardship of our differentiating products/solutions/offeringEffectively navigate and influence in a matrixed leadership environmentManage the creation of collateral and presentation material to be used in pitchesMaintain accurate, up-to-date reporting on full pipeline performance, and identify opportunities for improvementLead teams and achieve growth KPIsInput into staff plans and monitor hours to ensure efficient, focused service levelsFoster professional growth and development through coaching and mentoringWhat YOU Bring:University Degree or proven equivalent experience in Business management and / or marketing experienceMicrosoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook6+ years, with 2+ years of business development experience (with media agency roles as a plus)Understanding of competitive agency landscape, key trendsExperience overseeing and managing organizational performance with strategic objectives and financial targetsProven track-record of project planning, project management and organization skillsThorough understanding of the Canadian media industry and playersOutstanding interpersonal and account management skillsBilingual preferredABOUT GROUPM:GroupM is the world’s leading media investment company responsible for more than $63B in annual media investment through agencies Mindshare, MediaCom, Wavemaker, Essence and m/SIX, as well as the outcomes-driven programmatic audience company, Xaxis.
