In addition, approximately 46,000 students are enrolled in the DPCDSB’s Adult and Continuing Education Programs each year.” With approximately 11,000 employees, Dufferin-Peel is one of the largest employers in the region.Educational Resource WorkersEducational Resource Workers work as collaborative team members to facilitate the inclusion of students with differing abilities/diverse learning needs. The Educational Resource Worker is assigned to a Family of Schools and is accountable to the School Principal and/or designate. Actual duties are assigned as determined by students needs as per Ministry of Education regulations and Board policies, procedures, and practices.Salary $37,982 - $55,250 (based on education and experience) (under review)Qualifications:Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Educational Assistant (EA), Educational Support (ES) or equivalent as deemed by the Employer.OrSecondary school diploma with entry level knowledge of Early Childhood Education (ECE) (EA) practices.Additional Qualifications / Additional Experience:1 Year experience working with students with differing abilities/diverse learning needs preferred.May be required to receive training in CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and/or other emergency techniques.· Ability to work with differing abilities/diverse learning needs, strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills, ability to work as team member, flexibility, high degree of sensitivity and diplomacy, good organizational skills, experience in use of computer technology and/or other communication supports as appropriate, ability to deal with potentially stressful and emergent situations.Candidates must provide:Certificate/Diploma/Degree/TranscriptsResume/Cover LetterEmployee Benefits:·Educational Resource Workers who have been on a contract for 90 consecutive working days in the same contract are eligible for employee benefits (dental/drug/vision/etc.), backdated to the start of the contract.Please note: For your application to be considered, you must submit all the required documents.
