The Opportunity:We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join us in our Toronto location in a hybrid working model. This role represents a unique and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a team that invests across a broad global mix of private market products including private equity, real estate, private credit and infrastructure. The Harbourfront Portfolio Management team employs a holistic approach to its alpha-generating strategies, applying both quantitative and fundamental techniques.Duties & Responsibilties:Primary activities focus on in-depth research and due diligence on 3rd party private market strategies for inclusion on the Harbourfront Wealth investment platform. Analysis work includes review of the firm, investment team, investment philosophy, and investment process;Conduct detailed quantitative analysis on 3rd party holdings and performance measures to identify key risk factors of individual strategies;Conduct on-going monitoring of the macroeconomic environment and key indicators related to investment strategies;Support the Office of the CIO in the governance activities surrounding the Investment Committee;Support the Product Review Committee in the development of “Know Your Product” governance framework. Participate in the Product Review Committee by contributing to investment research and approval-related activities on requests for 3rd party fund usage by Advisors of the dealer;Document and publish research & lead / assist in presentation work, as relevant clients or other Harbourfront activities;Collaborate with the Office of the CIO on projects as requested.Qualifications essential for this position:CFA designation is a requirement;An undergraduate degree in a related field;Approx. 5 years of industry experience;Effective organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills;Ability to write and present to external audience;Proficiencies with the entire MS Office suite (Outlook, Word & Excel) and Trading software.What we are offering Foster an inclusive work environment and celebrate diversity Growth and development opportunities Competitive compensation and benefits Collaborative, innovative, and disciplined approach with high quality investmentsDiversity and InclusionDiversity is an important value to us.
