Associate Pastor

The Bridge Church in North Vancouver is seeking an Associate Pastor who will contribute to God?s ongoing Kingdom work in and through us. We are a growing, multi-generational, multi-ethnic congregation in the Deep Cove area of North Vancouver. Our vision as a church is that we live to know Jesus Christ personally and to make him known and we look forward to seeing who God leads to help further this vision!

Overview

The Associate Pastor is a full-time position with a competitive salary (commensurate with experience and education) and benefits. Responsibilities will include:

*Along with the Lead Pastor, being a primary source of pastoral care. This would involve hospital visits, home visits, or meeting with people in other settings
*Serving as an overseer for community groups, equipping community group leaders, helping identify new leaders, and facilitating a culture where involvement in community groups is high and where new people can get easily connected
*Serving as an overseer for discipleship groups, providing support for leaders of these groups and helping form new groups
*Occasional preaching (approximately 6 times a year)
*Functioning as the pastoral liaison for the Missions Committee
*Participating as a member of the Staff team, including in weekly meetings
*Contributing in other ways to further our vision as the Lord leads, in conversation with the Lead Pastor

Qualifications
The Associate Pastor will:
*Personally resonate with the The Bridge Church?s vision as their own: to know Jesus Christ personally and to make him known
*Be someone who loves the Lord and affirms the statement of faith of The Bridge Church. They will be willing to become a member of The Bridge Church
*Have strong administrative and organizational skills
*Have the ability to equip and train up leaders
*Be someone who connects well with people and is gifted with pastoral care

*Any previous experience in pastoral ministry would be considered an asset
*Any theological education would be considered an asset
