YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD Continuing Education invites applications for the position of INSTRUCTOR - INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES FALL 2024/WINTER 2025 Arabic, Cantonese, Farsi, Greek, Gujarati, Italian, Korean, Malayalam, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Ukrainian, Urdu Effective Dates : Hours: SATURDAYS - September 28, 2024 - June 7, 2025 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (2.5 hours) TUESDAY/THURSDAY - October 1, 2024 - May 8, 2025 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (REMOTE) Locations: ON-SITE AND REMOTE Rate of Pay: $32.08/hr. The Successful Candidate Will : Be responsible for the daily operations and supervision of students The delivery of non-credit International Language programs Virtually meet with administration prior to the start of the program Virtually meet with summer school staff to review program expectations and responsibilities Attend a meeting virtually prior to the start of the program and possibly at the end of the program Monitor attendance and enrolment and report concerns to the Continuing Education principal Communicate effectively with students and parents as required Required Qualification/Experience: Proven leadership abilities and experience Experience working with children Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective student discipline and classroom management skills Desired Qualifications/Experience: Previous and positive experiences teaching International Languages Principal Qualification Program Parts I and/or II Be able to communicate in more than one language For additional information please contact Anthony Pasquini, Continuing Education Elementary Principal at or at the Catholic Education Center at .Emailed or faxed applications will no longer be accepted.
