Job: Licensed 2nd class Power Engineer -Stream & Refrigeration power SystemsCanadian TSSA approved. Location: Strathroy – London – Woodstock, ON area Salary: $45.60/hr (after training); $40.96 (start rate)+ OT , benefits, long term careerFull time permanent 8 hours -Straight Days ; Monday – Friday 7am -3pm Our client is a global leading manufacturer in the food industry with multiple sites. Due to upcoming retirement of their current employees, they have a job open for 2nd class Power Engineer / Maintenance Engineer for this 1st class TSSA approved plant. The selected candidate will be eligible to use the hours they work and accumulate these hours towards their 1st class ticket. This is a hands-on maintenance role to support maintenance inside and outside of the power room. 2nd class journeyman license required mandatory . Equipment worked on is inside outside of power room in steam and refrigeration system maintenanceThis is a 8 -hour straight Days shift 7am -3pm, Monday – Friday, eligible for OT. Criminal check will be conducted at the end of the process. The selected candidate will be eligible to use the hours they work and accumulate hours towards their 1st class ticket. 2nd Class Power Engineer is responsible for the facility equipment. You will ensure that the plant is operational under the regulatory requirements laid out by TSSA. You will conduct plant inspections and work on maintenance of Ammonia refrigeration, steam room, boilers, and compressed air, water and ventilation systems, ensure all logbooks and records are maintained. You will proactively run continuous improvement programs for energy saving and undertake all capital projects. You will ensure health and safety and ensure all facility equipment efficiency KPIs are being met. Power engineer will remain the point of contact for all government liaison related to ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air etc. You will analyse equipment history to conduct gap analysis and implement projects to improve efficiencies. 2nd Class Power Engineer must have a valid TSSA 2nd class license with good communication skills, Ammonia experience is preferred.
