We’re seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our clients' growing team, supporting food processing facilities across Canada. If you thrive on driving process improvement and innovation in the food industry, this role is for you!This position offers a hybrid structure and can be based in any of our clients' Greater Toronto Area, Winnipeg, or Brockville offices.What You’ll Do:Lead Projects: Manage and contribute to process improvements, new product development, cost-saving initiatives, and capacity expansions. You’ll be building project plans, setting timelines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.Optimize Equipment & Tech: Assess current food manufacturing equipment and processes, recommend upgrades, and drive innovation to enhance performance and meet regulatory standards.Training & Documentation: Develop training programs for production staff on new technologies and processes, and keep all technical documentation up to date.Continuous Improvement: Use lean manufacturing principles to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall process reliability. You’ll track KPIs to measure success.Quality Assurance: Partner with the QA team to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements, implementing SOPs and conducting risk assessments.Stay Ahead of Compliance: Ensure all processes meet industry regulations (GMPs, HACCP) and support audits as needed.What You’ll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering or a related field.5 to 10 years of process engineering experience in the food industry.Proven expertise in food manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.Strong project management skills with a track record of successful execution from start to finish.Experience with commissioning and start-up of automated process equipment.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.Commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.Willingness to travel up to 30%, with flexibility for off-hours and weekend work as needed.If you're ready to make an impact and contribute to a team that's driving innovation in the food processing industry, we’d love to connect with you!
