Job Description:

We are looking for a warehouse Duty Manager (shift work) to supervise the unionized employees, oversee the receipt, dispatching and storage of Aircraft Parts and Tooling along with administrative functions. They will oversee, mentor, evaluate, reward and discipline staff. They will ensure the maintenance of company assets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding.
  • Manage a team of Unionized employees while respecting their collective agreement.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.
  • Conduct Crew Briefings, one-on-one meetings, Union Meetings and have difficult conversations.
  • Represent Logistics, being the prime management contact for our customers.
  • Provide performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action.
  • Oversee the receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Lead employees to meet Logistics expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
  • Carry out weekly and monthly departmental self-audits to ensure compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong people skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  • 5+ years of Warehouse Management experience in a Unionized environment in combination of being a bachelor’s degree holder in Aviation Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain
  • Management, or equivalent professional industry experience of 7+ years (non-Degree holders)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching and development skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid drivers’ license and ability to obtain Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
  • Available to work extended hours and shift work.
  • Customer focused.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identification Card) (To be obtained upon employment)
