Description of Duties:

Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba (MDAM) is a not-for-profit organization.

It is a self-help organization dedicated to providing support, education, and advocacy for those living with mental health illnesses through peer support and other services.

Today, MDAM operates throughout Manitoba, supporting individuals, their friends, families, and caregivers that have been affected by mood disorders.

One of the services we offer are peer support groups that are facilitated by dedicated volunteers that have lived experience with mood disorders or co-occurring disorders.

A facilitator plans, guides, and manages an in-person peer support group for MDAM.

Skills Required:






-English language proficiency
-Lived or working experience with mental health
-Organizational and leadership skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Well-developed listening skills
-Knowledge of peer support or mental wellness (asset - training will be provided)
