Your job will be to provide support and guidance to over 40+ employees. In this position, your primary duty will be to ensure all employees adhere to company policies and procedures while maximizing our sales and profitability. You are also responsible for developing the stores to be successful and grow through clearly defined goals and constructive feedback.Duties & Responsibilities:Act as a liaison between Head Office and various store locations by making regular visits to stores, plan visits to remote locations a minimum of two (2) times per yearCoordinate with, report and make recommendations to management in order to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growthMonitor and analyze business trends across stores within district; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals for all Key Performance Indicators including sales, SPIFFS, wages, expense control, and store contributionEncourage all team members to participate and hit all sales goals, contests, SPIFFS and other incentives through understanding promotions/sales, product knowledge, and customer serviceProtection of Intellectual Property and other confidential information such as store sales, staff performance, compensation and company strategiesEnsure all team members across all stores in your district are adhering to company standards by having an excellent understanding and enforcing The Company Policy & Procedures, Company Handbook and embracing the Modern Store CodeRegularly audit staff purchases, credits and discounts to ensure they are used as intendedEnsure protection of company property by managing loss prevention within the districtResponsible for approving schedules, ensuring adequate shifting, while managing number of staff on to keep costs appropriate to sales to avoid over or under-staffing situationsHiring employees, reducing employee turnover and managing wages in collaboration with Human Resources departmentRetain your team members by nurturing their potential, pointing out areas for improvement, utilizing conflict resolution techniques and collaborating with HR about possible issues; create a positive and supportive work environment where you are professional, approachable, non-judgmental and unbiasedTake a 360-degree approach in providing feedback and reviewing employee performance. Issue verbal and written warnings as well as termination notices. Collaborate with HR frequently on employee satisfaction, engagement and strategies for performance improvement; this will enable HR to identify skill gaps and plan training programsComplete annual Store Performance Assessments (SPA) as a tool to communicate expectations; repeat the SPA within 3 – 6 months for stores that require additional supportCultivate and grow a strong team of motivated and committed store managers who will drive sales and hit store targets, who you can trust to delegate store specific tasksMake independent decisions to ensure situations and issues are handled appropriately and in a timely mannerFirst point of contact for store break-ins/theft, follow up with necessary inventory, insurance claims, and take all appropriate steps to forestall a reoccurrenceEnsuring new stores are set up to standard and take care of logistics for new location(s) as well as coordinating regular store maintenance and repairTake ownership of tasks/requests by following through to ensure completion and closing the loop of communication, delegating to Assistant District Manager where necessaryCollaborate and communicate with other District Managers to support each other’s growth for overall store success; including revolving weekend accessibilityParticipate in sales and management training meetings and eventsPerform other duties as requiredRequirements:Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a positive and can-do attitudeBuild strong relationships with both employees and clientsMust be flexible and have open availability Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - individually and as part of a teamStrong problem identification and conflict management skills with a proven record in overcoming objectionsMinimum 5 years of Retail Industry experienceMinimum 3 years of Management experienceMust possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel throughout Alberta to different locationsMust be located in British ColumbiaA valid passport is required - frequent travel, which may include travel outside of CanadaIf you qualify for this position, submit your resume, cover letter, and salary expectation.We wish to thank all applicants for their interest.
