About the Company:Hays is partnered with a local Design company in Edmonton who is a professional design and drafting firm with expertise in residential construction. They have worked with many builders through the city of Edmonton and beyond and have designed over 5,000 homes all across the city and Canada to grow their communities. They have also designed hundreds of custom homes- each one perfected to suit that clients dream. *this is an in office role based in Edmonton*About the Role:Qualifications:Oversee the entire design process form concept to completion.Coordinate with clients, contractors and team members to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.Create and present design concepts, sketches and detailed plans.Select materials, furnishings and color schemes that align with the clients vision and project requirements.Conduct client meetings to understand their needs and provide regular updates and incorporate client feedback into the design process.Create detailed drawings and 3D models, ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety regulations and industry standards.Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets, source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for materials and services.Requirements:Minimum of 4+ years of experience working in Residential, Commercial project types.Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or related architecture fieldPrior experience in in Wood Framing Construction, strong knowledge of the Building Code By Laws for AlbertaExperience in the Residential sector is required and Commercial experience would be desired.Expertise in estimation, budgeting, space planning.AutoCAD is required & Revit would be an asset.Pay range and compensation package:In exchange for your hard work and commitment you will earn $65-85k (dependent on experience), 3 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks off during Christmas time + health benefits.
