For nearly eight decades, the organization has collaborated with its 10 provincial member associations within a federated framework, representing 85% of professionals in the industry. Members practice in diverse stings, including private practices, clinics, hospitals, community health centers, corporate environments, research, teaching, and administration. As a regulated profession, the organization supports its members success by educating the public, government, and insurance companies, and by developing research and practice guidelines. This non-profit provides its members with essential support, training, development opportunities and practice solutions. The role of the Senior Partnership Development Officer will play a pivotal role in expanding and transforming our client’s service offerings, with a unique opportunity to share the future of vision care insurance benefits in Canada. This position, integral to the team, involved assisting the charismatic Director of Policy & Research in developing and executing an innovative vision benefit model designed to enhance access, quality, and efficiency of vision care services nationwide. Key responsibilities would include: Strategic Partnership Development – identifying, cultivating, and managing new partnerships with insurance carriers, benefit plan sponsors, industry partners and other key professionals. Relationship Management – building, and nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a primary point of contact for partners for communities nationwide. Project Coordination – developing goals and action plans that align with the organizational objectives, and oversee the execution of the benefit transformation project, ensuring it offers a best-in-class service. Evaluation & Reporting – develop metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and prepare proposals, presentations, and additional materials to support communications of the new program. Advocacy & Brand Awareness – represent the organization at networking events and opportunities to present partnerships and raise awareness of new programs. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of group benefits, and benefit plans with experience an insurance broker or benefits administrator. You will be particularly knowledgeable in vision care within the group health benefit plans. This role is perfect for someone skilled in managing complex projects and equipped with strong interpersonal and communication abilities to build, nurture and maintaining relationships. You will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience within a similar role, focused on driving business result. Exceptional networking and business development skills, with a track record of successfully negotiating and managing partnership is critical to your success. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to self motivate and manage multiple tasks efficiently will be expected. Communication skills are key to this role and bilingualism in English & French would be highly desirable. As an established team player, you will be able to integrate and influence a small and impactful team. As a quick learner who can identify and remove barriers, you will be able to create new opportunities. A proactive and creative problem-solver with the ability to navigate through complex project is needed. Post secondary education in relevant field would be an asset.
