Position: Network AnalystClient: Public Sector ClientLocation: Calgary AB, (Remote, Some onsite work required)Duration:6 Months (potential 6 month extension)Language: EnglishBackground:Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to assist with ongoing management and administration of their IT and network infrastructure. Our clients infrastructure supports roughly 500 employees on any given day.Qualifications:Eligible for Enhanced Reliability clearance with the Federal Government of Canada5 years experience as a Network Analyst working with Dell Hyper Converged Infrastructure, vCentre, vSphere, and site recover manager5 years experience working with Microsoft servers and databases and Cisco Networking technologiesResponsibilities could entail:The clients IT environment is housed in two co-location data centre facilities and consists predominately of Dell Hyper Converged Infrastructure running VMWare vCentre, vSphere, and Site Recovery Manager.The client has standardized on Microsoft Technologies for its servers and databases, Cisco technologies for its networking, and Cisco technology for its Telepresence and Video Conferencing.Reporting to the Director, Information Technology and working directly with IT staff/contractors, the network analyst will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting client servers, databases, and network infrastructure.The resource will be directly involved in ongoing monitoring and management of existing IT services as well as the installation, configuration, and implementation of new services or technologies.The resource serves serve as a point of escalation for complex problems and requests stemming from the Service Desk.Current priorities of the client include augmenting team strength and network and cybersecurity.
