Location - Multiple Location - Regina, Saskatoon, Weyburn or Prince AlbertApply no later than 09/13/2024 to be considered for this opportunity.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Learn and become familiar with assigned technical tasks, methodologies, and practicesProvide technical assistance for construction and operationsPerform technical and economic analysis of alternative solutions for project business cases, and make recommendations on courses of actionPrepare program and project plans, monitor costs and schedules, and initiate corrective action as appropriateProvide direction for construction projects and initiativesAnalyze and manipulate large data sets to identify trends and issues and communicate with stakeholdersDevelop criteria, guidelines, standards, and new practices based upon codes, technologies, and methodologiesProvide direction to technologists, technicians, consultants, and management staffFoster accountability with design consultants and obtain good value for moneyOther related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Bachelor’s Degree in EngineeringEligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS)Professional Engineering Designation - P. Eng. and relevant experience directing the work of technical staff, coordinating projects, and managing contractsProject Management Professional Designation – PMP – is an asset.Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Power BI is an asset.Demonstrated competency in engineering/industry standards, as well as internal processes and proceduresAbility to mentor, coach, and support Engineers-In-Training and Engineering TechnologistsAbility to influence from a variety of positions of powerResults oriented thinker, with the ability to manage and provide advice regarding complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalismAbility to work and manage in a changing environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent facilitation, project management and decision-making skillsAbility to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation, and teamworkDemonstrated skill in SaskPower's CompetenciesMust have a continuing record of professional developmentNOTES:• Engineer-In-Training applications will be accepted and may be considered for this position.• If the successful applicant appointed to this position is an EIT, the key accountabilities as well as knowledge/skills/abilities will align with the job description and expectations of an Engineer-In-Training (7201). The applicant will retain the title of Engineer-In-Training and remain compensated at a 7201 until such a time that they are eligible for a 7501 either through bidding or P.
