ASSOCIATE LAWYER – CORPORATE LAW

CREIGHTON LAW LLP is recruiting for an Associate Lawyer to join our successful and growing corporate practice. This role is a full-time in office permanent position. The successful candidate will have the benefit of any needed mentoring in a collegial environment and an existing caseload of clients. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, independent, and comfortable in a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and able to manage a large work load. This position is best suited to individuals who have excellent client service skills and are friendly and professional. In addition, organizational skills and an outstanding ability to multi-task will ensure success in this role. Key Responsibilities: All aspects of corporate and commercial deals from start to finish focusing on corporate reorganizations, implementation of tax driven transactions, business succession planning, general and annual corporate resolutions, and business advice to our existing and new corporate clients. Assist in preparing and administering commercial leasing agreements, financing transactions and contract and business enterprise matters. Assists with negotiating and drafting of shareholder, partnership, and numerous other commercial agreements. The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: LL.B. or J.D. and a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the corporate and commercial field. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, independent, strong acumen and attention to detail, and comfortable in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Ability to work independently as well as cohesively with other employees as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills, refined organizational skills and outstanding ability to multi-task and strong interpersonal skills.
