The role supports the strategic pillar ‘strengthening and accelerating our core business’ by leading the development and execution of sales strategies to drive revenue growth and ensuring successful in-store execution. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping the sales direction for our varied product portfolio. Key Responsibilities Financial Outcomes Revenue Growth and Sales Performance Optimization Drive the company’s revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies. Utilize insights from sales data to identify opportunities for brand growth and optimize sales performance, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals. Customer Service Strategic Customer and Channel Engagement Serve as the main point of contact for customer teams, aligning brand strategies with customer strategies to enhance service delivery and satisfaction. Create and deliver insights-driven presentations for sales teams, ensuring that customer meetings and negotiations are supported by robust sales tools and resources. Internal Processes Cross-Functional Collaboration and Best Practices Implementation Lead annual channel/customer planning and collaborate with Marketing to ensure successful in-store execution that is consistent with brand strategies. Develop and maintain sales fundamentals tracking, and report on customer and channel sales strategies, streamlining internal processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Innovation and Learning Market Differentiation and Category Insights Leverage category-specific challenges to drive growth and market differentiation, positioning the company as an external expert on the brand and category. Help define category development principles and implement CPG industry best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the organization. Key Qualifications Strategic Sales Planning and Execution: Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with company goals and drive significant revenue growth. Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret sales data and market insights, translating them into actionable strategies that enhance brand performance. Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration: Exceptional leadership qualities with experience working with diverse teams, including in-house and broker sales teams, and the ability to lead cross-category initiatives effectively. Customer and Market Expertise: Deep understanding of customer strategies and market dynamics, with the ability to serve as both the internal voice of the sales team and the external voice of marketing. Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication abilities to create persuasive sales presentations and tools, and exert influence both internally and externally to secure buy-in for strategic initiatives. Flexible mindset, comfortably adapting to new challenges and proactively seeking out opportunities to drive innovation within the sales process.
