JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Required to work on rotating shifts. Shift management of the warehouse operations to meet, service, cost, productivity, health and safety / environment and quality standards. Including the coordination of transportation within the warehouse operations. Proactively lead and execute the health, safety and environment programs within all aspects of the facility to ensure a safe and productive working environment for all employees. Execution of defined processes to ensure asset protection within all facilities, including finished product, empty containers plus facility assets. This includes execution of receiving, picking, and shipment processes according to defined standards and targets. Additionally, expectation of active participation in the development of the leading practices processes. Shift management of the Union/Management processes and relationships within the warehouse/staging facilities. This includes playing an active leadership role within the operation. Provide; coaching, leadership, development and performance management to the team members in the staging/warehouse. Responsible for the effective execution of the product recovery processes within the facility. Compliance with the established ERP, WMS and APS processes including the management of all administrative processes to ensure data accuracy. Expectation of this role is to have a strong understanding of the facility budget and actual performance. This will allow for proactive identification and implementation of cost improvement opportunities. Delivery of service, cost, quality, health/safety/environment objectives for a specific shift. However, all shift management roles will have accountability for the delivery of the overall objective of the site operation. Inventory accuracy within the Mississauga Warehouse operations, including third party facilities in the area. Building strong working relationships with the hourly employees within the internal warehouse to deliver defined objectives. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: university degree, business and industry related discipline or equivalent professional experience. Experience: demonstrated ability to lead an operations facility with direct supervisory experience in a unionized environment. Strong leadership skills required. Proven ability to manage transport operations in a high-volume environment, including leadership of a large hourly workforce. Demonstrated operational excellence. Respected and trusted leader with a proven track record of achievement, solid technical skills and a reputation as a leader of change. Technical Competencies: Strong interpersonal capabilities, and able to work cross-functionally with other leaders on sensitive and/or emotional issues. Logistics background, including direct experience managing warehouse/transport operations with a unionized workforce. Excellent computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
