What Y ou’ll Be Doing

The Institutional Structuring Group and this role will support the origination and maintenance of Structured Products in FX and Interest Rates. You will be focused on supporting the origination and administration of our products, and job tasks will include pricing various derivative-based and other structures. This role is an opportunity for someone looking to grow their skill set and knowledge of capital markets across asset classes and product groups.

How Y ou’ll Succeed

  • Relationship building - Assist the structuring team with their daily activities and administrative tasks, including pro-actively generating product ideas that are value-add to our client-base. Quickly and efficiently respond to pricing requests from sales staff and clients. Create presentations and perform various analytical tasks and analysis in support of new product development such as back-testing. Assisting with origination and management of the documentation process. Tracking noteworthy structured products released domestically and internationally

  • Demonstrate initiative - On your own initiative, develop product knowledge through directed or self-directed study. Be prepared to cross train when the appropriate time arises, as suggested by management. Share any developed skills, knowledge, ideas with management and other members of Global Markets. Attend learning sessions held by the Trading Room as required

Who You Are

  • You have an Undergraduate University degree (Engineering or Math preferred) with 2+ years of knowledge and work experience in Derivatives, Interest Rates, FX, Equity or other institutional products. International Capital Markets experience would be an asset

  • You give meaning to data. Excellent quantitative skills. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Excellent analytical and conceptual skills

  • You know that details matter. Proven ability to pay close attention to detail. Efficient organizational skills to respond to shifting priorities on simultaneous projects

  • You put our clients first. Able to quickly acquire knowledge, to demonstrate competence and to add value to the maintenance of internal processes and client relationships

  • You communicate effectively. Proven ability to communicate complex financial information

  • You are technically savvy. A working knowledge of PC applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Salesforce). VBA knowledge an asset. Working knowledge of Bloomberg
