The Technical Specialist acts as a company representative at various client sites within the North America region to provide training and technical expertise, maintenance and repairs, and support of GroundProbe’s products.Work safely, and with regard to the safety of others, including:Compliance with all WHS policies and proceduresActively work to improve safety in the workplace.Install and integrate Slope Stability Radar/Laser systems as required for customers throughout North America (US, Mexico, and Canada)Commission and decommission Slope Stability Radar/Laser systemsMonitor and present Slope Stability Radar/Laser dataProvide on-site training and technical support to customersMaintain Slope Stability Radar/Laser systems minimizing downtime and meeting customer needsPerform technical support work on GroundProbe technologies at remote sites and from GroundProbe’s officeAssist with marketing and development of a positive image of GroundProbe, it’s technologies and its employeesTravel: This position will require you to travel up to 50%-75% of the time between the US, Canada and Mexico and you will be exposed to challenging working environments. There are times when there will be little notice provided before travel is required due to the safety critical need of our customers. Every effort will be made to minimize last minute travel plans, but there are times where it will be unavoidable. You can expect to be away from home for periods of at least 7-10 days at a time.What you will bringQualification or relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic discipline(s)Unencumbered Manual Drivers LicenseAbility to obtain national police clearance certificate for work at mine sitesBasic understanding of computersAbility to troubleshoot issues with an engine or generatorAbility to travel between countries/states via airExtensive relevant technical work experience in a customer service based organization or similarProven potential or track record of successBilingual (English/French) is required, due to this role interacting with customers throughout North America, to include Quebec, Canada.What we offerAs part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
