As the Global Mobility Partner , you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of our Canada and US immigration processes, partnering with external legal counsel to provide a positive employee experience for immigration support. You will act as the subject matter expert on immigration programs and services, and partner with the People & Culture team and area leaders to manage and enhance our immigration processes. Responsibilities: Provide Canada and US/International mobility guidance and support, including visa and work permit requirements. Provide support for LMIA’s, Canadian Work Permits, and support the US visa process. Facilitate the smooth transition of cross-border talent by liaising between the employee and internal key points of contact (HR, Payroll, Operations etc.). Develop and implement strategic mobility programs and practices for Canada and US immigration. Develop and recommend overall global mobility policies and programs for EllisDon. Act as day-to-day contact for and provide technical subject matter expertise in global mobility for the business and local People & Culture representatives. Support the execution of global mobility activities for the Domestic and International relocation processes. Identify risks and provide input into mitigation and action planning, escalating when necessary. Advise employees on international and domestic relocation moves. Develop, manage, and maintain key relationships with external and internal stakeholders supporting the relocation process. Partner with People & Culture and Operations to support the employee experience through the relocation process. Is this the right role for you? University degree/diploma at the Bachelors level or above in a relevant field, or a combination of education and equivalent practical training and experience. 5 + years of applicable previous experience supporting global mobility processes. Expert level understanding of Canadian and US immigration policies and procedures. Strong understanding of Canadian and US immigration laws. Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment. Proficient written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong reporting, analytical, and process improvement mentality. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain and develop relationships with team members, including internal and external stakeholders. Ability to demonstrate agility in creating valuable solutions to complex issues quickly. French-English bilingualism is a strong asset.
