About the Role Reporting to the Mine Reclamation and Sustainability lead, this role will provide engineering and environmental input and support for mine closure, permitting and assessment, remediation and reclamation projects. This role will also support field programs as needed. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering input and support for mine closure, permitting and assessment, remediation and reclamation projects. Support other engineering projects as part of the Ensero Engineering Team. Participate and assist with workshops and engagement sessions regarding closure objectives, end land use planning, and remediation. Assist with the development of reclamation and closure plans for assessment and permitting. Provide assistance in closure and reclamation planning at all stages of the mine life. Visit project sites, gathering information as required and get involved in site investigation and drilling programs, core logging, lab testing, instrumentation installations and monitoring, as well as data review and analysis. Work collaboratively with a team of scientist and technologist performing general environmental and geological responsibilities. Conduct geological, environmental, and geotechnical inspections and assist with field investigation. Prepare environmental and geological monitoring programs for remediation programs Monitor technical compliance for field programs. Assist with field program management, logistics, set-up, and scheduling. Maintain field data collection records. Analyze and interpret geological, geotechnical, and environmental data. Assist with preparing and formatting reports. Participate in workshops and various meetings related to technical programs. Travel to potential and existing worksites to interface with on-site staff, vendors, customers, and regulatory personnel. Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance. Take proper safety precautions, anticipate unsafe circumstances, and act accordingly to prevent accidents. Provide technical input to projects within area(s) of expertise. All other related duties as required. About You Bachelor’s degree in geological/environmental engineering or other related engineering or geoscience field. Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience related to mining/remediation/reclamation/mine closure/permitting or similar preferably in a remote/Northern setting. Currently registered or eligible to register as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in a Canadian province or territory. Valid driver’s license. Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and ability to work with confidential documents. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and oral communication.
