Job Requirements / Description

Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Toronto Fixed Income – Product Control
• Income reporting profit and loss reporting and balance sheet management.
• The initiative is to deliver metrics and assist with the resolution of cash breaks.

Typical Day in Role:

• Liaising with GWO on the investigation of cash breaks
• Tracking daily progress metrics for monitoring performance and ensuring goals are met.
• Identify and assess operational risks associated with systemic issues.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in operation technology and derivative settlements
• 5+ years of experience working in the Financial Industry
• ION MMI Anvil and Broadridge experience

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience with DSTS (Settlement system)
• Strong technical skills

Soft Skills Required:

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills (written and verbal)

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• The Best candidate is someone who possesses excellent communication skills and an understanding of the subject matter.

Education & Certificates:

• Masters or BA in Computer Science, Accounting, or related Analytical field

Candidate review and selection:

• 1st Interview with Hiring Manager (1 hour) – MS Teams Video Call:
o Manager will provide sample technical questions and soft/skills, etc.
• 2nd Interview potential w/peers or Hiring Manager peers (30 min) – MS Teams Video Call:
o Behavioural questions
