What you will be doing in the role of Technician, Mechanical Services: Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Instrument and Valve Repair in industrial facilities?Shop and Site troubleshooting of industrial flow control equipment.Reviewing instructions, blueprints, drawings, and technical specs to determine the layout, installation procedures and materials required for a jobFabrication and or stock requisition/acquisition of required parts for assemblyFinal assembly and testing of valve and valve automation productsResponding to valve related emergencies both during and after regular working hoursPerforming instrument setup and calibration to meet specificationsTesting and replacement of defective equipment or componentsAdvising clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of the systemBuilding and maintaining relationships with customersOperation and use of Pressure Relief ValvesAppropriate use of the ASME CodeCritical Inspection and Testing of ASME ValvesRepair maintenance, setting and testing of ASME ValvesKnowledge and skills required for the role:Technician/Technologist College diploma in related fieldMillwright/ Instrumentation Certificate Or five (5) years of hands on valve automation assembly and integration experienceExperience in assembling, setting, and testing all types of ValvesExperience with Instrumentation , Millwrighting, machining, and weldingExperience in an ISO 9001:2008 working environmentKnowledge of valves, pneumatic, electric and hydraulic valve actuatorsKnowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electric circuits and first principalsKnowledge of part layout, machining, and shop practicesKnowledge of interpretation of engineering drawings and dimensioning using Vernier calipers, micrometers etc.Knowledge of process automation systems an assetKnowledge of health and safety issues and regulationsTraining in the safe use of slinging/rigging, overhead crane operation and forklift operation, working at heights considered an assetUse of machinist, hand and power toolsCustomer orientationThoroughnessTeam orientatedWhat we give YOU!Flexible working schedulesA competitive compensation package, with RRSP-matchingComprehensive benefits coverage (medical, dental, vision, EAP & on-demand virtual health care)A culture that promotes healthy work-life balance with above-market paid time offChallenging work and direct exposure to key industries in the Canadian marketA structured training and development program and opportunities for continuous learningOpportunity to participate in an award-winning Wellness Program!Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.
