Looking AheadWith over 1,300 homes in our expanding development pipeline, we are looking for a growth-oriented individual to work with our passionate industry-leading team to help drive the company’s next generation of projects. Our development portfolio is enriched by a sought-after mix of residential and mixed-use tenures, building forms and design contexts, and we are adding more. The OpportunityReporting to the company’s Vice President of Development, and working closely with the entire Development team, the new team member will oversee the management of multiple land development projects, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:Liaising with general contractors, consultants, stakeholders, partners, and government officials Managing consultant communication (contracts, meeting agendas and minutes, etc.) Leading project visioning, programming, design specification and inspiration Conducting market and municipal research, and reporting (municipal media releases, council meetings, project launches, land transactions, innovations etc.) Updating or preparing pro forma inputs, project budgets and financial analysis Assisting or leading the preparation of financing and grant applications (ex. BC Housing, CMHC, NRCan) Preparing offers and undertaking due diligence for potential development sites Overseeing drawing and specification review, coordination, and record keeping Managing municipal permit submission and approvals Preparing and updating project scheduleAssisting in the creation of project marketing material and presentation centresWorking closely with internal departments and consultants to ensure deliverables and timelines are metActing as the company’s representative, ardently protecting the company brand, and making every effort to manage risk and ensure project success The CandidateCommitted to excellence in their work and finding creative ways to deliver high quality projectsSelf-motivated, highly organized, and detail-orientedMulti-disciplinary approach to development; able to focus on the details without losing sight of the overall strategyIn recognition of our company’s culture, applicants must be highly ethical, sincere, and respectful by natureIn addition to these great qualities, applicants will have: 4-5+ years of experience in DevelopmentA post-secondary degree or diploma in urban planning, architecture, construction, land economics, finance, engineering, project management or another related fieldWorking knowledge of construction drawings and documentationAn understanding of development processes and best practicesThe willingness and ability to visit sites within the BC Lower Mainland as projects requireNote: We are seeking a mid-level development candidate with experience managing multiple projects, but we are considering all applicants based on their unique combination of skills and experience.
