Airswift is seeking a Central Engineering Technical Administrator to work with one of our major clients in the petrochemical industry in Calgary. This is a 7-month contract.
This role will support technical team members in executing the Engineering Standards management business process, the Project Development and Implementation (PD&I) Centre of Excellence and the PD&I Administration business process. Additionally, this role will assist the Central Engineering Leadership team in managing and enhancing the internal Engineering SharePoint Sites.
You Will Use Your Expertise To:
- Provide administrative support to the Central Engineering team in executing the Engineering Standards business process.
- Assist the PD&I Center of Excellence by administering and executing the PD&I business process.
- Aid in developing standards and practices for document control within the Corporate Engineering function.
- Manage the Corporate Engineering Function SharePoint Sites and Network File Shares.
- Oversee the Engineering Standards external access site as the site manager.
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum Grade 12 education plus 5-8 years combination of applicable post-secondary education and related experience
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online site design and maintenance experience are required
- Excellent skills in Word (formatting) and Excel (data entry and manipulation)
- Strong understanding of document management and advanced Site Design within SharePoint Online
- Engineering documentation management experience including Authentication and Validation (stamping)
- Experience with Management of change (MOC) following established MOC processes
- Experience with IT SharePoint Administration and Security
- Specialization in Library and Information Science, or a related discipline would be considered an asset
- SAP experience would be considered an asset
- Engineering administration/document controls experience in an owner company or an EPC organization would be considered an asset
- Experience with standards and/or procedures would be considered an asset
- Experience dealing with engineering terms and documentation would be considered an asset
- Detail oriented with a low tolerance for errors
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a team environment
- Ability to professionally manage requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to follow workflow processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Effective communication skills—clear and concise in both written and verbal forms—are required for interacting with engineers, contractors and project personnel
