Work Setting

1. Estimating Tasks
2. Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
3. Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients
4. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
5. Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
6. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms
7. Advise on tendering procedures
8. Analyze tenders and recommend awards
9. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
10. Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
11. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
