Production Supervisor

You will ensure that our high standards of quality and safety are maintained while meeting customer delivery expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team and make impactful decisions that enhance our production processes and operational efficiency.Responsibilities:Foster a safe work environment.Collaborate with other departments to coordinate operations and activities.Manage production/delivery schedules effectively.Assign daily workloads to team members in alignment with customer requirements.Support employees in their day-to-day activities ensuring timely and efficient completion of work.Define equipment operations and safe work procedures, and assign new employees to experienced workers for training.Provide ongoing technical direction, coaching, and development of employees.Participate in production and process improvement reviews.Monitor and assess employee performance and skills.Engage in direct performance management conversations including progressive discipline if needed with input from Production Manager.Suggest process improvements to enhance production and quality.Resolve worker problems, complaints, and grievances.Relay production updates from the floor to appropriate team members to provide customer open order updates.Support production directives such as specialty projects and activities.Focus on cost-effectiveness, process improvements, and strategic process improvements.Provide motivation for employees, increasing morale.Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.Hands-on execution of objectives and training of employees through demonstration if needed.What We’re Looking For:Experience: Minimum 3 years in a supervisory, management, or leadership role, with 1 to 5 years of progressive experience in sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes.Skills:CWB welding certification W47.1, W47.2 (preferred)Exceptional oral and written communicationStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and manage deadlines effectivelyKnowledge of health and safety regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong customer service orientationFirst Aid skills and/or certificates (considered assets)Direct working knowledge of processes and machinery used in metal fabricationAttributes:Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weightsExcellent time and project management skillsCommitment to quality and safety standardsWhat We Offer:Compensation: Competitive salary range of $56,000.00-$70,000.00 per yearBenefits:Casual dress: Enjoy a relaxed dress code that allows you to work comfortably.Company events: Participate in fun and engaging company events that foster team spirit.Disability insurance: Get peace of mind with comprehensive disability coverage.Employee stock purchase plan: Invest in your future with our employee stock purchase options.Extended health care: Access extensive health care benefits to keep you and your family healthy.On-site parking: Benefit from convenient on-site parking.RRSP match: Secure your retirement with our matching RRSP program.Professional development: Opportunities for continuous learning and career growth.Supportive work environment: Work in a culture that values teamwork, integrity, and excellence.Work-life balance: Enjoy a regular Monday to Friday schedule with an 8-hour shift.Ready to take the next step in your career with a company that values innovation, quality, and teamwork?
