Job Description:
#J-18808-Ljbffr- Manage software development projects and teams to support customer requirements.
- Develop strategic plans to define software solutions and platform requirements for current and future customer needs.
- Ability to forecast budget requirements for software solutions and platform requirements
- Plan and implement software projects and allocate resources to accomplish those projects.
- Evaluate and select software development tools and platforms for development and production application environments.
- Select, implement, and maintain development methodologies such as Agile and SDLC and the associated frameworks.
- Establish and maintain software maintenance processes as defined by the customer for production software applications.
- Manage and protect customer-owned hardware resources and software source code.
- Establish data ownership and data maintenance processes for custom applications.
- Guide and mentor team leaders and members in programming techniques, development environments, and languages, such as PHP, Python, Ajax, Oracle APEX, and Java.
- Guide and mentor team leaders and members in web and data technologies, such as HTML5 and XML.
- Perform managerial duties such as time-card review and approval, performance reports and ratings, and resolution of team disputes.
- Meet with customers to obtain requirements; prepare proposals, presentations and project plans to support those requirements.
- Review and administer quality system documents in support of ISO Quality and USPS best practice initiatives for IT infrastructure and software development.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 - 6 yrs of experience. Extensive knowledge of IT system infrastructure, networking, and software development.
- Able to Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Able to plan own work and use judgment within limits of standard practice.
- Communication and leadership skills to hire, grow, and manage IT and software development professionals
- 3 years experience working with Agile Scrum Teams and the Agile as a lean process.
- Experience with the Service Now platform as a software solution.
- Experience with capital budget forecasting of IT infrastructure.
- Experience with RedHat Linux, SOLr searh engine, Microsoft SQL, Apache and Oracle DB Servers.
