About Us: Established in 1954, Bee Maid Honey Limited is the marketing arm of the Alberta Honey Producers Co-operative Limited and the Manitoba Cooperative Honey Producers Limited. Honey produced by beekeepers in Western Canada is processed and packaged at plants in Winnipeg, MB and Spruce Grove, AB. Bee Maid not only produces premium honey but also operates retail outlets in Spruce Grove, Winnipeg, and Tisdale, SK. POSITION DESCRIPTION: At Bee Maid Honey, we are seeking a senior leader who has a demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional leaders and teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement innovative technology solutions, and ensure that the organization is equipped to achieve its objectives. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of business operations, technology, and change management. Above all will be putting people first, and implementing change by using active listening, good communication, and superior people skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: BUSINESS ENABLEMENT: Engage with business leaders at all levels, recommending solutions that transform business and operational processes. Develop, drive, and execute multiple projects/programs as a project lead through defining plans, goals, deliverables, feedback, and timing expectations. Work with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, tools, and processes that empower employees to be more effective, and to drive business growth and success. BUSINESS ARCHITECTURE: Develop strategy and execution plan for IT infrastructure and service delivery, and how they align with the organization’s strategic objectives. Create a blueprint and spearhead initiatives that enhance business processes, drive operational efficiencies, and support the overall strategic goals of the company. Drive advantageous connectivity and integrations between all systems – on-premises, cloud-based, and plant-floor technologies. ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY: Optimize the use and adoption of our core systems Accountable for departmental budget, vendor management and contract negotiations. Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions aligned with business objectives, support business enablement initiatives and deliver measurable value. Champion the company’s compliance frameworks, cybersecurity initiatives, risk management, data governance, disaster recovery, and business continuity. Lead and maintain all IT operations, including responsibility for annual penetration testing, disaster recovery, PCI compliance, network and connectivity, user support, etc. Assume responsibility of operational tasks such as ongoing maintenance cycles for current technology, managing of standard SDLC, performing regular updates and security patches, handling renewals, and maintenance of the ERP system. Oversee the creation, review, implementation, and updating of IT policies and procedures including but not limited to acceptable use, third-party risk, and vulnerability management. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Lead, develop, and grow IT team, both internally as well as through external resources and partnerships. Create a respectful, positive, and team-oriented working environment, which instills engagement, enthusiasm, and a high motivation to succeed. Provide leadership that ensures that employees receive guidance, training, and feedback on performance. Communicate performance goals and expectations to team members, establish KPI’s, set priorities, and manage workflow and results. CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies. Lead training and development programs for all systems to equip employees with the skills needed to thrive in a changing environment. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in business operations, process improvement, or a related field. Demonstrated success in leading effective business enablement initiatives. Experience with technology integration and project management. Strong understanding of business processes, architecture, technology, and change management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically. Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges. Ability to travel occasionally. ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (PREFERRED) CBAP certification considered an asset. Certification in TOGAF BA Level 1 or ITIL Master Certification considered an asset. PMP, Prince2, ASM, or proven experience in dedicated project management positions. CMP/Prosci certification or proven experience in dedicated change management roles.
