Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Business Unit Head of Rare Disease this position will be responsible for the development of marketing programs targeted towards physicians, patients, nurses and other allied health professionals and to devise impactful marketing strategies and aligned innovative tactical programs (within a defined budget) for a designated product(s), and develop the company’s image and position in the relevant medical and market sectors, to meet the immediate sales and profitability objectives and long term development objectives.


Responsibilities:
The position holder is expected to always act as a product and company champion and motivate and support all Extended team members.
o In charge of the Canadian product strategy, (Product Champ), input into and align with Global strategy.
o Lead the launch of new products by coordinating with cross-functional teams including sales, research and development, and regulatory affairs.
o Develop launch plans, including positioning, messaging, and marketing mix.
o Develop strategies to accelerate business performance based on market insights and identified challenges & opportunities. (Pre and post launch)
o Develop, implement, and measure tactics aligned to strategies identified in the marketing plan.
o Managing and strategically spending the Advertising and Promotion (A&P) budget.
o Communicating strategic goals, positioning, messaging and tactical plans to internal customers, field sales force and external agencies.
o Lead & collaborate with the region to drive the products marketing strategy, co-create programs and execution.
o Drive and ensure Biogen corporate branding.
o Develop collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and the implementation of a 3-year strategic plan including forecasting. Everything in accordance with the Local rules for Marketing and all in alignment with country strategy.
o Collaborate with other brands to develop and execute the portfolio strategy and execution
o Give marketing support to the sales organization, feedback the needs to the rest of the organization and take an active role in sharing best practice between markets, functions and products.
o Support the Brand Team in the planning and coordination of the national sales meeting and cycle meetings.
o Perform company business in compliance with relevant regulations, company policies
and procedures.
o Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience
o Previous Rare disease/ neurology experience is an asset
• Language(s)
o Fluent in English, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally spanning all levels of the organization, proficiency in French an asset.

Skills
o Must have a track record of successful pharma/biotech marketing with a strong understanding of expense budget planning and tracking
o Strategic mindset - Strong business acumen, analytical skills and understanding of business strategy to prioritize team goals and activities with short and long-term planning
o Owns projects management and ensures solutions/partnership deliverables are delivered on time and according to plan and customer needs
o High drive for results
o Bias for action with high sense of urgency
o Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity and be proactive.
o Ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with a high performing cross-functional team
o Able to develop strong relationships with HCPs/ Pts/ PAGs
o Act as strategic lead for the brand, in order to influence internal stakeholders around strategy
o Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with experience presenting at senior management level
o Digital ability (skill level Good to excellent): Capability to readily adopt and promote digital options, platforms and solutions.
o Skills on leveraging Office 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, One drive, Teams, SharePoint
o Multichannel savvy: Knowledge of different channels and how to use them with a customer-centric approach
o Digital communication and collaboration: Confidence in managing one-to-one and one-to many relationships on digital channels without space-time distance constraints. Ability to work productively, in order to stimulate engagement between colleagues even remotely.
o Digital Leadership: Ability to influence and drive the thoughts and behaviors of others through a clear vision, forward thinking or a change-oriented mindset, leveraging technology to optimize strategy and operations

• Travel
o Occasional travel may be required.
