Senior Project Manager

Universal Staffing currently recruiting for a  Senior Project Manager  for our client, based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the planning, administration, communication, and technical management for the steel supply of local Infrastructure, maintenance and repair projects, such as bridge steel refurbishments, emergency repairs, cable inspections and wrappings. The successful individual will also be managing large Capital Projects encompassing the steel fabrication and installation on new public works projects such as schools, hospitals, water utilities and as well as large private industry projects. In this role the applicant will be responsible for working with our team to orchestrate the timely and efficient completion of projects in a fast-paced work environment. Rate of Pay: $110,000-$130,000/year Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow our client’s Infrastructure Team. Accurately estimating, documenting and pricing changes to contracts, site instructions and contemplated change orders. Receive, prepare and distribute site drawings. Monitor subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with company standards, safety and quality programs, policies, and procedures. Review and update job estimates. Visit job sites, taking pictures and required dimension measurements of the site and document these observations. Requirements: A Professional Engineer; and/or a graduate of Construction Management Program from a recognizable institution. A minimum of 5 years industry related management experience in the construction industry, with preference given to metal fabrication, welding and erection of steel (Ironwork). Bridge Construction, Repair and Refurbishment, and familiarity with the Bridge Code Gold Seal Certification and /or PMI Certification are assets General Contracting Experience managing multiple subs on various projects Estimating Experience Field or site management Experience #Admin
