Senior Accounting Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW The Accounting Technician will be primarily responsible for the performance of a variety of duties including, but not limited to: · preparing of corporate year ends, tax returns and financial statements · preparing of personal tax returns · bookkeeping · GST returns and other filing requirements · correspondence with clients EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS · 3-5 years experience in public accounting · Experience working in CaseWare and tax software · Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook · Experience with QuickBooks and Sage Accounting Software would be an asset WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR TEAM · 7.5 hour work days with core hours to support the balance of work and personal responsibilities · Fridays off in the summer · A week off at Christmas · Flexible benefits: choose allocation between multiple programs including health/dental care, physical activity costs or RRSP · Life insurance, disability insurance and prescription coverage · Business casual dress code · Work with a great team in a positive and friendly environment while receiving a competitive salary Only candidates under consideration will be contacted.
