At CI, we see a great place to work as one that is a safe place for everyone to have a voice, where people are empowered to take ownership over meaningful work, where there is an opportunity to grow through stretching themselves, where they can work on innovative products and projects, and where employees are supported and engaged in doing so.The Senior Security Specialist is responsible for identifying and remediating enterprise security risks to ensure the effectiveness of CI’s Cybersecurity program.RESPONSIBILITIES:Investigate security alerts to identify a breach and participate in the incident management processPerform threat hunting to proactively detect and isolate advanced threatsManage the software and hardware vulnerability management process including providing various vulnerability trending reportsParticipate in business and IT projects to ensure compliance with security requirementsPerform the deployment, integration and initial configuration of new security solutions and enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating proceduresParticipate in the planning and design of enterprise security architectureRecommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.Contribute to the creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures)Monitor in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operationsRemain informed on trends and issues in the information security industry, including current and emerging technologies and new attacks and threat vectorsMonitor security advisories for current security exploits, evaluate applicability and provide recommendationsPerform daily security related operational tasksPerform other functions as assignedProvide on-call supportAUTHORITIES: 24-hour security access to the premisesAdministrative access to security systemsVPN accessQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Experience8+ years of in-depth hands-on security experienceStrong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, Linux), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Management, EDR, Forensics, Application Vulnerability scanning, SAST, DAST etc.) and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell)Working technical knowledge and experience in information technology, computing systems, network technology, security operations, security technology, and the application of information security conceptsWorking technical knowledge of CI/CD pipeline securityWorking knowledge of CyberArk and Cisco ISE will be an assetStrong knowledge of Qualys, CheckMarx or similar tools would be an assetWorking knowledge of Tableau or similar reporting tools would be an assetWorking technical knowledge of cloud security principlesEducation/TrainingBachelor’s degree in information security or equivalent work experienceCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – (ISC)2AWS Certified Security – SpecialtySkillsCustomer service orientedHigh level of analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to conduct research into security issues and products as requiredHighly self-motivated and directedStrong organizational skillsAbility to work in a team-oriented collaborative environmentAbility to effectively interface with peers and different levels of managementAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingMaturity and leadershipWORKING CONDITIONS:Office environmentAfter hours workCI Financial is an independent company offering global wealth management and asset management advisory services through diverse financial services firms.
