This hybrid role of Associate Manager, Commercial Finance, Valuations and Stakeholder Relations is an extremely important position. It is the financial heart of supporting those who rely on us to get their  deal(s) across home plate in a fast-paced, team-oriented machine that is Gateway Business Brokers. 

Though it is also for someone with an entrepreneur mindset, who loves the hustle and is extremely intrigued and desirous to make their own mark in the business transaction world. We are looking for a unique personality, with a strong voice, the power to tell a story through numbers, and a solid relationship builder. Someone who questions why, likes to turn things upside down and find a solution to ensure business crosses the finish line.

The role will be split approximately 35% on Valuations & Financing and 65% on Business Development

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

? Working closely side by side with the CEO overseeing business valuations. 

? Supporting Associates with collecting and interpreting financial data. 

? Being a liaison between major stakeholders (Buyer, lawyer(s), banker(s), accountant(s), etc.). 

? Advising, making recommendations related to financial and accounting deal aspects.

? Preparing closing documents and assisting lawyers with various documents. 

? Building your own book of business, onboarding new clients.

? Support in creating new financial/valuation systems and processes (policies or SOPs).

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT KEY ATTRIBUTES:: 

? Passion for networking. 

? Strong knowledge in systems and processes. 

? High level of technology comprehension and CRM experience. 

? Meeting multiple deadlines, valuations and financing stages of each ongoing deal & project. 

? Advanced knowledge of financial concepts and principles such as cash flow, balance sheet, cost of capital, depreciation, tax reporting, etc.

MUST BE: 

? The most critical skill/competency is reading numbers with critical thinking and decision making.

? A strong voice, confident in your opinions. 

? Powerful negotiator.

? Able to manage and build many stakeholder relations at one time. 

? Known as a hustler, juggling many major rocks and deals. 

? Highly organized, accountable, attention to detail, problem solving, creative, self-reliant. 

? Fine-tuned your interpersonal skills, communication skills. You will be in contact with industry professionals, business buyers and sellers rather often. 

? Quick thinker – Quick learner - It is a fast pace environment requiring faster runners.

? Honest - We say it like it is, we expect nothing less of you. 

? Initiative is a must have - Everyone's roles require each their own precious time. We are 100% invested in teaching you what you need and/or wish to be taught. But we are also relying on each other’s resourcefulness. There is no time to waste. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

? 10 years of experience in business banking/finance and/or valuations. 

? Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business. A combination of other education and experiences will be considered. 

? Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, GoogleSheets, GoogleDocs, CRM softwares. 

? Own a car and valid drivers license. 

? Punctuality. 

? Bonus skills in business tax experience and recognized accounting designation. 

Success in this role requires someone with experience, someone who does not have to be held by the hand yet is not afraid to ask for help and guidance, someone who does not back away in front of a challenge. We are a great team who works closely together, supports and guides each other. 

This position is a hybrid role, working part-time from your home office and part-time at Head Office. Daily working hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, though after hours may be required to meet tight timelines. 

OUR COMMITMENT TO OUTSTANDING WORK: 

Full-time, Permanent position 

Salary: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year plus commissions. Expectation is to exceed $150,000 after 1 year.
