Strategic Accounts Manager/Operations ManagerOur client, located in the Vancouver area is currently searching for an Operations Manager to join their team. The role will oversee and facilitate supply chain operations within their company. Responsibilities: Managing customer accounts from all aspects, and quoting / booking spot shipments (Booking loads, Customer service, track-trace and closing orders)Ensure the highest level of customer experience is provided.Coordinating and monitoring logistics operations responsibilities and KPI’sResponsible for ensuring division achieves or exceeds yearly budgetProvide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviorSupervision of all staff under your direct or indirect controlEnsure all resources are utilized efficientlyBe available after hours to assist with resolving issuesMaintain day to day market pricing knowledgeManage spot quote requestsLiaise with procurement to provide carrier costs and solutions on new and existing businessLiaise with sales and procurement to operationalize solutionsNegotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTLSource carriers for new and existing customersTrack loads and provide customers with up-to-date informationManage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customersLiaise with customers and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointmentsGrow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationshipsPreform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detailAdditional duties as required.Skills and Qualifications:3PL transportation experience5 years managerial experienceExcellent carrier negotiation and customer service skills
