Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS). CANTRAIN is a national clinical trials training program. Its vision is to provide the best, certified and standardized clinical trial training and mentoring program in Canada, accompanied by studentships, fellowships, internships for postgraduate trainees and highly qualified personnel in a real-world setting. The incumbent will report to the National Executive Director and Chief Business Officer (Ntnl ED & CBO) Position summary •Systematically establish contact with all Eastern Canada-based academic institutions/private sector companies and then assist CANTRAIN management in presenting CANTRAIN Clinical Trials Training Programs (CTTP), other funding programs and the LMS platform, •Enroll Eastern Canada's above institutions to become partner members of CANTRAIN, •Collaborate with Eastern Canada-based institutions with the local CRE-Clinical Research Educators to provide guidance and facilitate access to the CANTRAIN platform, •Facilitate the onboarding of all categories of trainees/mentees into the overall CANTRAIN programs, •Participate in the recruitment of mentors for the CANTRAIN Connect-College of Mentors, under the COO and Mentorship Programs Coordinator, •Collaborate and share knowledge and best practices with other PECs in the same respective roles General Duties •Organizational Partnership Development (80%). •Supports the development of national, provincial and thematic partnerships, leads the roll-out of new initiatives across provinces/regions. •Maintains a strong understanding of the CANTRAIN Clinical Trial Training Platform, actively sharing information internally and acting as a resource for regions/sectors for CANTRAIN staff on key organizations, programs, activities and contacts. •Develops and maintains partnerships between CANTRAIN and provincial organizations involved in the conduct of clinical trials. •Leads provincial and topic-specific outreach activities to increase awareness of CANTRAIN's services (, digital and print publications). •Maintains provincial profiles for assigned region(s). 2.Participates in CANTRAIN's knowledge management (mobilization/translation) strategy (20%). •Participates in organizational information sharing opportunities within CANTRAIN, including acting as a knowledge hub in accordance with CANTRAIN's Knowledge Management Strategy and joining and contributing to internal committees as required. •Keeps abreast of a wide range of clinical trial education topics. Website of the organization Education / Experience Education: Bachelor's Degree ? (BA, BSc, Master) in adult education, health sciences, public health, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience Experience: ? Being familiar with adult learning theory and adult education methodologies and/or experience teaching adults to develop, present and facilitate workshops to diverse audiences virtually and in-person. ? Demonstrated experience with and ability to design and execute engaging, and useful virtual and in-person educational and capacity building initiatives. Experience building strategic and working relationships with various partners to inform and implement projects, ?Experience working with under-served and underrepresented communities within a culturally safe and health equity framework. Required Skills ?Bilingualism is essential in both English / French ?In-depth knowledge of the conduct of clinical trials, the various roles and responsibilities within a trial and the rules, regulations and best practices governing clinical trials in Canada. ?Understanding of Clinical Trials’ Training related resources and services at the regional, provincial and national levels in Canada. ?Ability and willingness to travel within Canada at least once per year to a maximum of 5 business days.
