We are committed to enabling safe and secure reuse of electronics, responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills, and recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.The Director, Business Development – ITAD – this role is a combined role with individual Relationship Management responsibilities as well as the management of direct reports. The Director, Business Development will handle aspects of account development, including prospecting future opportunities, the strategic development of prospects, meeting and closing of opportunities and ongoing relationship management. The Director, Business Development is also responsible for ensuring that all client requirements are accurately communicated across the organization to ensure a successful implementation. The Director, Business Development – ITAD – this role can be based in Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton, and is responsible for driving growth in Revenue and Contribution Margin in those divisions (facilities) and is focused on the BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan markets. As a supervisor, the Director, Business Development is responsible for the oversight and management of their direct reports, who are in turn responsible for managing Upstream Customer Accounts (customers) of their own. The Director, Business Development is responsible for the performance management of their direct reports, and will work closely with them to ensure they are achieving their goals through effective relationship management.Key Responsibilities:As an individual Relationship Manager and in support of your direct reports, strategize using research of competitors, market conditions, customer needs and organizational core competencies to claim company success.Establish business partnerships in a way that is honest, competitive and true to the company mission Identify new opportunities based on market analysis and regional legislative programsCreate, qualify, pursue and win new business opportunities and work with your direct reports to do same Direct responsible for increasing divisional Revenue and Contribution MarginDevelop and recommend short term and long-range strategic sales plans and revenue and Contribution Margin goals to ensure the fulfilment of the company’s business plan objectivesThrough yours and your direct reports’ daily activities, translate the divisions business plan and revenue goals to ensure the fulfilments of the company’s business plan and strategic objectivesThrough daily activities translate the divisions business plan goals into related sales growth Continually provide feedback to assist with the development of dynamic sales strategies for the short- and long-term success of the businessWork collaboratively with all business development team members to successfully transition new clients to a professionally managed portfolio of accountsImplement the business plan to create demand for the company’s service solutions both for existing customers and new businessUnderstand competitor business models, research and identify areas of strength while analyzing weaknesses Establish business relationships by building trustParticipate in regular meetings as a member of the Business Development team and report on all active pursuits wins losses, opportunities and upcoming engagementsQualifications:3-5 years’ experience including prior experience in the I.T. Asset Disposition industry, or in related areas such as Channel sales (Value-Added Resellers), OEMs, I.T.
